About 21,000 U.S. people get diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year, and about 14,000 die from it. An individual’s lifetime risk of developing ovarian cancer is about 1 in 78. Their risk of dying from ovarian cancer is about 1 in 108. Today, over 2,700 people died of COVID. That means that if that number stays the same, in 6 days more people in this country will die from COVID than died of ovarian cancer in the entire year.
